50 Things

1. I bungee jumped when I was seven years old.

2. I'm super outgoing, but I cherish my alone time.

3. I'm a tom-boy and it used to bother me. It doesn't anymore.

4. I live to make other people laugh.

5. Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand is my favorite book of all time.

6. I have a habit of not watching shows until their second or third season. Inevitably, I will buy the series on DVD and then catch-up within a week.

7. I wish I were better at keeping in touch with people.

8. I'm a daddy's girl through and through.

9. My mom is my best friend.

10. I have a healthy obsession with Yankee Candles, Vera Bradley and Tervis Tumblers.

11. I am forever grateful for all of the amazing things that the game of golf has blessed me with. (A career, husband, friends, and memories just to name a few).

12. When I was younger I had grandiose plans of writing in a huge journal until it was completely filled. I don't think I ever made it past 10 or so pages.

13. I don't believe that the number 13 is unlucky, but I'm crazy superstituous when it comes to golf.

14. I was late to discover the quality over quantity rule of thumb in regards to friends. I'm glad I finally figured that one out.

15. If I could only do one thing for the rest of my life....I WOULD DANCE! I've been told I'm good at it.

16. I'm with Joe Maddon....life is best lived while wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

17. Not a day goes by that I don't think about and miss my Nan.

18. I want to retire to Cobbtown, Georgia and spend my days riding my 4-wheeler, playing with my American Bulldog, drinking sweet tea out of a mason jar, fishing, listening to the rain on a tin roof, and laughing with "B" by my side.

19. The weeklong trip to London in high school is still near the top of the list for Best Weeks Ever.

20. I didn't wear a dress to my own wedding. I went with a golf skort, polo shirt, golf shoes, and a veil instead.

21. My political beliefs are conservative in nature. I will never, however, blindly vote straight ticket. I want the best candidate possible no matter their party affiliation.

22. Firefighters hold a special place in my heart. I believe they are courageous and selfless and that we don't do enough to support them.

23. "B" gets me in a way I never dreamed possible. I cannot imagine what it would be like to face a day without him by my side.

24. I cannot wait to become a mother! If I had my way it would be nine months from now, however I have conceeded to wait a few more years.

25. The best summer I have ever had consisted of driving around the country in a conversion van filled with six people running Junior Golf Tournaments each week.

26. My perfect Sunday consists of going out for breakfast (Waffle House anybody?) followed by lounging on the couch and watching HGTV all afternoon.

27. I have almost completed reading all 100 books on Modern Libraries 100 Greatest Novels of the 20th Century.

28. I am convinced that my best friend Peggy would have known the answer to, "Who is John Galt?" had she been a character in Atlas Shrugged.

29. I find men with salt and pepper hair extremely attractive.

30. I am rarely shocked or moved by the news anymore. The "Miracle on the Hudson" shocked and moved me.

31. I.H.A.V.I.O.W.A.S.T.G. I've had a very intense obsession with acronyms since 10th grade.

32. I waste entirely too much time on youtube.

33. I sometimes fool myself into thinking I'm artistic, but the end result brings me back to reality.

34. I have a genuine fascination with people different from myself; differing viewpoints, cultures, ways of life.

35. One of my most favorite things is challenging conversation. I love talking to super intelligent people.

36.  I hate that I watch so much TV.  Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, So You Think You Can Dance, Glee...and the list goes on and on.

37. I hate going grocery shopping.  It might be one of my least favorite things to do.  It's necessary, but that doesn't mean I have to enjoy it.

38. I like monotonous tasks. Crocheting is one of my favorites.

39. If I could meet anybody in the world, I would want to meet Denis Leary.

40. Even though I'm southern, and I want my wide open spaces, New York City is my favorite place to visit. The city is electrifying and has such an energy.

41. I watched my dad save my mom's life. Yeah....my dad is amazing like that!

42. Pink Tulips are a simple but effective way to bring joy to my life.

43. The Avett Bros. are lyrically the best band I've ever heard. Start with "November Blue," "Head Full of Doubt," "I Would Be Sad," and "Left on Laura, Left on Lisa."

44. My idea of a party is outdoors, tailgates down, miller lite in hand, jammin' to Hank Williams Jr., Lynard Skynard, Gretchen Wilson, The Eagles, and old-school country music.

45. I wish I had the financial means and time necessary to scrapbook.

46. I caught a 120lb. Tarpon in the summer of 2008. It was fun!

47. I wish I had the guts to become an entrepreneur, but I'm too risk averse.

48. I want a puppy really badly, but my allergies do not.

49. I can bring the house down and get a standing ovation at a kareoke bar. "I Will Survive" is my go to song.

50. I am incredibly humbled by those willing to serve our country and defend our freedom. Our soldiers are true heroes and I am grateful for their selfless sacrifices. I will never take for granted what they do on a daily basis.
